We are seeing a increasing amount of boats advertised for sale on places like Facebook Marketplace that have an incorrect boat year listed.

99% of the time, its simply because the seller just doesnt know the boat year, because on most boats built prior to 2001, the HIN on the boat wont have the boat year in the code and the boat registration does not list a year either.

Its important to check if you are buying a boat, as there is a signifigant difference in the price you would pay for a boat made in 2005, opposed to one made in 1975....
